General Questions & Answers:
1.
How much does a baby website cost and for how long does the website
stay up?
Our baby websites cost only $49 for
12 months and $64 for 18 months. There are no hidden costs. All
of the pages highlighted on our Features page are included with
every website. Each website will be available for renewal at a rate
of $20 for each 6 month cycle.

Are there any additional fees?
No.
3.
What forms of payment do you accept?
Mastercard, Visa, American Express and
Discover.
4.
Do I have to live in the United States to purchase a website?
Absolutely not. Our websites are purchased
from all over the world. However, payment must be made in U.S. dollars.
5.
How do I pay for my website if I decide to use the Free 7-Day Trial?
At any time before the end of your Free
7-Day Trial, you may go directly to the Order page, login and pay
for your website or you may login on the Login page and pay through
Your Site Center options.
6.
How long does it take until I can see my website on the internet?
Your website will be live immediately
after signing up for the Free Trial or placing an order.
7.
Is there a limit to the number of updates I can make to my website?
There is no limit to the number of updates
that you are permitted to make to your website. All updates will
be reflected on your website immediately after submitting them.
8.
What will my domain name be?
Your domain name will look like this:
http://yourname.babywindow.com
If you have your
own domain name and wish to use it, you can enter your own domain name into our system through Your Site Center. Once you have done so, you will receive an email from us instructing you as to how to direct your domain name registrar.
9.
Is it possible for me to have my own domain name (www.myname.com)?
Certainly. Baby Window can secure
a domain for you as long as it is available. Through Your Site Center,
you will have the ability to research available domain names. However,
you will only be permitted to purchase a domain name if you have
purchased a baby website.
The charge for us
to register a domain for you is $15 for one year or $25 for two
years. Please be aware that you will need to secure your own domain
name for at least two years if you want to use it for the entire
18 month hosting period. If you have questions regarding the purchase
of a domain name, you may contact us at admin@babywindow.com.
You may also use a domain name that you have registered through a third-party registrar. You would simply enter your own domain name into our system through Your Site Center. Once you have done so, you will receive an email from us instructing you as to how to direct your domain name registrar.
10.
How will my guests find my baby website?
Your welcome email will include a confirmation
of your baby website website address. Once your receive that confirmation
email, we suggest that you either send out an email to your friends
and family announcing your baby website or send out an announcement
card with your website address printed on it. You can always include
your baby's website address on your birth announcement.
11.
What if I have a question while I'm building my site, where can
I go for help?
You may email us at any time and we
will get back to you within 24-72 hours with answers to your questions.
12.
If I want all of the pages offered to be part of my website eventually,
but not all at once, can I select certain ones to display at a time?
Because we want you to have total flexibility
with your baby website, we've designed the pages to be active only
when you wish them to be. That means that you can choose to have
one page active or all twenty-two at one time. It's totally up to
you. All of your information will be stored while inactive so when
you are ready to activate that page, it's literally done with the
click of a button. This feature allows you to work on your pages
at your own pace and only make them viewable when you are ready
to do so.
13.
I'm concerned about people I don't know seeing my website. Can I
password protect my website so only my friends and family can access
the website?
We have designed our baby websites to
be password protected at any level so you can feel comfortable releasing
important information on the internet. You may decide that you do
not wish to have any restrictions placed on your site at all or
you may choose to protect the entire site with one password. You
even have the option to protect each page individually with one
or two levels of protection. Ultimately, the decision is up to you.
We also allow you to track your visitors on a visitor log (optional).
14.
Do I have to find a host for my website or will Baby Window
be hosting it for me?
We will be hosting your site for you.
15.
Will there be advertisements on my website?
Absolutely not.
16.
Can anyone else access my Site Center?
You control access to Your Site Center
through a username and password. No one else will be given that
information. However, it is up to you to protect your information
by choosing a password that would not be easy for someone to determine.
17.
Do I have to know any html code to format the text on my web pages?
For our PC clients, we have an interface
that will allow you to format your text in a similar way in which
you would in most applications. That interface is not yet available
for our Macintosh clients, so, instead, we have provided a text
formatting tip sheet in Your Site Center "help" section
for such clients until such an interface is available.

Page Specific Questions & Answers:
18.How
should I expect to be notified that I have received RSVPs and will
they be stored for me?
Your will receive an email indicating
that an RSVP has been entered. Your guest will also receive confirmation
that their RSVP was received by you. We will store your RSVPs along
will their meal choices in a table that you will be able to access
through Your Site Center at any time to see a broad view of your
guest responses. For your convenience, a total of each category
will be tallied for you.
19.On
my website can I list the online Baby Registries that I already
have set up and will I be able to link to them?
Certainly. We will not only allow you
to choose from several popular web registries to display a store
logo that links directly to the store's website, but you will also
have the option to type in the information as you would like it
to be displayed if you so choose.
20.How
do I upload photos?
There are several sections of your baby
website that allow for photos to be uploaded. In Your Site Center,
the sections that allow for uploaded photos will prompt you to browse
your hardrive for a photo file to upload.
21.In
what format do my photos need to be saved and is there a size limitation?
We accept jpegs (jpgs) or gifs. Jpegs,
however, are preferred. Although there is no size limitation, smaller
file sizes are preferred. We recommend neither dimension being larger
than 500 pixels.
22.Can
I replace any of the photos I have uploaded at any time?
Most definitely. Simply follow the same
steps you took to upload them in the first place.
23.Will
I be able to crop the photos once I've uploaded them if I don't
like how they look?
Yes. In Your Site Center, you will find
a photo cropping tool that will allow you to crop a square for the
couple photo to appear on each page as well as any 4-sided shape
for the other photos to appear on your website.
24.Can
I place a photo on pages other than the Photo Album?
Yes. Your child's
photo will appear on each page of the website as well as in your
Flash intro. You also have the option to upload pictures to several
other sections of your website such as the Journal pages, the Monthly
Tracker page, the Welcome page and more.
25.Will
I be able to have a photo of my child on every page?
Yes. Each page will display the same
photo of your child within the images included in the design.
26.If
I want to use a black and white photo for my Main Website Photo
do I have to have a black and white version of my photo to upload?
No, you do not need to have your own
black and white version of your Main Website Photo. If you upload
a color photo, we will automatically create a black and white version
for you. That way, no matter what layout you choose, both options
will be available since some of our designs require a black and
white version of your photo. However, if you upload a black and
white version of your photo, we will not be able to create a color
version for you.
On our Sign-Up form, you are given the option
of using a color or black and white photo for your Main Website
Photo. If you indicate that you prefer you photo to be black and
white, it will appear that way in all of the layouts. If you choose
the display your photo in color, it will only appear as a color
photo in the designs that support a color photo. You can change
that preference in Your Site Center at any time.
27.Can
I use the “Photo Editing Tool” in The Site Center to
create black and white photos for use on other pages of my website?
Yes, in order to create a black and
white photo using the “Photo Editing Tool”, you would
simply use the “Greyscale/Color Correction button” and
slide the Saturation slider all the way to the left.
28.What
if I don't have a photo of my child ready when I want to purchase
my website?
No problem. A placeholder photo will
be displayed on your website until you are ready to upload your
own photo. Should you decide you wish to keep the placeholder photo
and do not wish to upload a photo of your child, you may do so and
the placeholder photo will remain.
29.Will
I be able to reorder my content without retyping everything?
Yes. Most of the content on your site
will include the option to order it as you like. If you choose to
reorder it at a later date, it is very easy to do with this feature.
30.Will
I be able to link my Celebrations to the Directions page?
Yes. Your directions page will list
the events that you've indicated for that address and will link
directly to those events. In contrast, your Celebration's
page will allow you to link your event to the appropriate directions.
31.
What if I don't like the order in which my pages will appear.
Will I be able to reorder them?
You certainly can. You can reorder your
webpages as often as you like through "Your Site Center"
under "Webpage Options".
